A nice hotel with a swimming pool and a hot tub. Book in advance as the more inexpensive hotels get booked very fast. Best Wishes and Congrats!

well if you can pay for airfare, i would say jamaica! it’s a gorgeous island (just stay in the resort area) and inexpensive for lodging and dining since it has such a high poverty level.
if flying isn’t an option, it depends on where you’re from…cape cod is beautiful if you live on the east coast, or martha’s vineyard, nantucket (for a weekend only because then it would get expensive) or myrtle beach south carolina– fun and inexpensive, plus beautiful!
    congrats on your marriage!

Atlantic City, New Jersey, the hotels on the boardwalk are nice there; and there are shows and revues, including entertainment by celebrities.

    1) Where do you live?
If you live in a big city you could stay at a hotel there.

Don’t laugh, but I like KOAs. Kamping Kottages have a their own bathroom, a seperate bedroom with a door, and living room/kitchen area. Kamping Kabins have beds only. All have electric, AC, heat, front porch with porch swing, and right out front a picnic table, grill, and parking spot. Most have a jacuzzi in the pool area.

You bring your own bedding and towels. There is no maid service, but you can borrow a broom or other cleaning supplies if needed. The price is considerably less than hotel rooms in the same area. Kabins and Kottages are free standing, so “the people listening on the other side of the wall” are not a consideration.

Where do you live and what do you like?

This may sound incredibly lame, but every state does have a state treasure. In NC we have Wilmington Beach or a quick travel to VA/SC to their respective beaches. We also have the mountains & Biltmore House. So try to find the IT destination in your state and travel there it will save you on airfare. If that sounds too lame, try going to another big city in your state in book the honeymoon suite/room at a decent hotel like Radiasson/Hilton/Marriot. It won’t be much more than the avg/reg price and you can enough just being out from family/friends and in your own space. Every large city will have great eateries, spas, museums, etc. We currently reside in Raleigh so I was thinking about traveling to Charlotte/Greensboro and only staying three days.

Or travel to the nearest/closet state if they have better attractions or locations. Try. That site can help you plan any trip you want, they have options for romantic getaways and etc. Or go to the travel sites, like hotels.com and click on a nearby city, resort, or mountain city to see what the prices will be for accommodations.

We wanted to go on a cheaper mini-moon for now, we live in NC but decided to vacay at VA Beach in a decent hotel. It’s a three hour drive but the hotel rooms are at a great price and the city has lots of tourism activity going on. We also have mountain cabins we can visit or Wilmington/Wrightsvile beach if we wanted to stay in state.

We are using hotels.com and the entire trip for the both of us is 1200.00 that includes 4 night stay at a hotel, spending money, resturant/eating out money, and gas. So the amount will vary depending on how much spending money we’ll use. The hotel room will only cost us 150.00 each for 4 nights.

Some cruises are only be a few hundred dollars if you live near a port and don’t have to pay for airfare.

Where do you live? I live in Colorado. If Colorado is nearby you can avoid airfare or cheaper plane ticket than if you were leaving the country. Aspen is beautiful and classy. There is a lot to do there. Its probably the most expensive of the sky resorts. Breckenridge, Vail, Copper, and other places are cute alternatives to Aspen. In the summer it’s warm (but not burning hot) and there’s a lot to do if you in both summer and winter. You can also stay at the hot springs in the mountain. That is actually where I’m suggesting to go. Good luck planning for your Honeymoon =)

If you live near MA, have you considered Martha’s Vineyard ? It’s very romantic and because it’s an island, you really feel like you are “getting away” .

They have some reasonable hotels and alot of B & B’s. They also have a campground that has cabins with electricity.

There are many beautiful beaches, great restaurants and lots of outdoor activities.
