I have been thinking about going to an island off of Cancun. I have also thought about a cruise. I am already spending a lot of money on the wedding and I’m not sure if I’ll have very much money for a honeymoon.

Bring your husband.
then wat u do is y not have ur honeymoon at ur place or ur hubby’s home or else ask ur frnd to-let his place for the day n enjoy ur honeymoon. U will never forget this for sure….
hopefully you will only have one honeymoon so you want it to be memorable. don’t drink too much was my first smart *ass answer, sorry, i couldn’t resist.
how about spending it with the in-laws?
not the 2nd smart answer, that’s what we did. seriously.
i have a large family who’s all over the country so everyone met for a vacation and there just happened to be a wedding on the 2nd day of vacation. what a way for the families to meet, huh?
how about going somewher close to home? if you live close to a big city go to a B&B there. if you are from the city go to the country (or small town) and get to know the culture (amish country for example). depends on where you live. i’ve always wanted to see the sunset in the desert in AZ. while camping in a tent. do a few different kinds of things that neither one of you has ever done before, but want to try. white water rafting, mountain climbing, exploring caves sound good to me.
may your marraige be blessed with love, honesty and respect.
Yes, there are great places in Mexico, besides Cancun you can find even cheaper places, and as beautiful as Cancun.
Maybe on other places, you will see less malls, or Nigth clubs, and stuff like that, but you can find great beaches, beautiful landscaps, nice people perhaps in Oaxaca, or Veracruz.
In Oaxaca, the more important beach is Huatulco, but around there there are great beaches, like Zipolite wich is a nudist one.
Check it out..
marry someone you love very very much. you’ll get a honeymoon you’ll never forget. it doesn’t matter where you go.
No matter what it will be memorable. If your dates are flexible you can find cruises for cheap. Also do lots of research. Sometimes you can find a six night cruise for a lot less that a 7 night, or an 8 night for cheaper than a 7. It depends on destination. Also watch for high season if you can postpone your trip for a week sometimes it can make a costly change. For example we flew to London 2 weeks before high season started and saved $500.
) but the lower you are on the ship the less it rocks.
Another thing is if your cruise leaves from Miami you will pay more for the flight that if your cruise leaves from ft Lauderdale. Sometimes it’s worth flying into ft. Lauderdale and renting a car and driving to Miami. Before you set your heart on a cruise make sure you know how much it will cost to fly to the location.
Also there is a site called they have cheaper flights, Cruises etc… And if you’re a student some web sites have discounts. Just do a search for student travel it should bring something up.
My best advice is:
1. Look at cruises Find out were you want to go (southern Caribbean, western or eastern Caribbean, or if there is a specific place you have to go i.e. Cancun, Bahamas…)
2. Find out how long you can afford to stay
3. Look at the diff in price for plane tickets
4. When you find a cruise and a plane tickets you like start looking at the ship what does it offer? What kind of shore trips does it have?
5. look at the cabin an inside room on a lower deck while less luxurious is fine because you will be up on deck most the time (or in bed
Here are some sites to check that should help:
Hope this helps. No matter what you will have fun.
O and by the way:
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
camp and hike for a week and do everything together!! when you come home spend another week without electricity!
open your creativity
I agree on a B & B. Or even renting a cabin somewhere in the woods–many of them have romantic spiffs.
WHERE ever you decide to have your honey moon be it in a motel in your home town or in a tent on the beach its your wedding night and I’m sure you both will cherish what ever you chose to do the rest of your lives. If you have already spent a lot of money as you said make it simple doesn’t matter where you go you’ll be together as one now, and you can the extra money and put down on a new house or something you both need.
Register your honeymoon if you dont really need many of the things that you registered already.
Not to sound greedy but we got a lot of money during our money dance and believe me it paid for all the expenses on the honeymoon that we didnt have enough for.
We were on a tight budget for our honeymoon so we decided to do a less extravagent honeymoon, we went to Vegas and San Fran. And we saved the Island beach trip for our first anniversary so we could enjoy it much better with more money and werent limited to the things we could do.
