cant afford to have much of a honeymoon. We only have about $500 to spend. I’ve looked at some Bed and Breakfast, but would like some ideas from anyone in this area who might have other ideas? Thanks in advance for your serious answers.

Buy some honey. At night eat the honey and watch the moon.
Grand Lake isn’t too far away. It is a nice area and you can find some deals. I think in September they even have their Pelican Festival. Lots of fun, down home kind of things happening then.
Eureka Springs is also a nice place to visit. Very laid back and relaxing. That is where we went on our honeymoon and I absolutely loved it.
$500.00 can get you a fairly nice weekend in a B&B. If you stay somewhere a little less expensive you could stay a few more days.
Good luck and have fun!
Eureka Springs is a great idea. There are lots of fun and quaint shops. In addition, you could easily take a day trip to Branson. Getting married in September should also be a benefit, as its coming the the end of the summer season and hopefully you’ll be able to get better rates. Not only do they have a plethora of B&Bs. They also have many nice and afordable hotels such as East Mountain Lodge or Apple Blossom Inn. If you have your heart set on a B&B I have found the following website to be very helpful:
The site lets you search by state and then in regions within that state. I could look for B&Bs in Eastern Oklahoma or Western Arkansas.
how about a road trip to the Smokey Mntns, not far from you and the scenery is awsome. You can take a tent and sleep camping style in the Great Smokey Mntn Nat’l Park. Very inexpensive to get in, and it is a romantic place, to be in the Mountains with a loved one.
Also, you could save the money in a special saving account and put a little more into it each week, and save up for a cruise next summer, I know it’s not fun waiting for a Honeymoon, but a cruise would be great, and you can even bring your son, there would be plenty to keep him busy, and lots of young ladies that he can meet.
There are great cruises out of Tampa Bay area that go to Mexico, and nobody says that you have to go to shore if you don’t want, but that’s your choice.
They really are not that expensive, so look into them, you’ll be surprised how inexpensive a 4 day/ 3 night cruise is now days, since there is a lot of competition out there now.
For about the same price, you can also catch a cruise out of Port Canaveral, just south of Kennedy space center, and do a Bahama thing.
Aslo, if you just want a romantic get away for the weekend for you and your husband, look into CEDAR KEY, in Florida.
It is about a 8 to 10 hour drive, and a small island town, and is beautiful, and full B&B’s that are not to expensive, and it can be done on $500, easily.
Talk to you later,
K
P.S. If you do a cruise from Port Canaveral, let me know, it’s just North of me and we can meet for lunch, OK?
how about bag pack honeymoon ? will this idea good ?
a 4 day carnival cruise is only costing me and my soon to be husband $690 to key west and nassau! Check it out and give them a call! Not bad for everything included!
